ooooo I got a good one. there was a girl Ashley I met in Costa Rica when I lived there and a month after I came home I went home with my roomie Meredith to visit her family in Ohio. Well, we went to a Cleveland Indians game and we were walking around checking out the stadium and I look over at the people walking around... and I saw Ashley!! How strange! She was in CR the first month I was there so I hadn't seen her since early July and it was August... in Ohio. Weird!
I love those stories!
Got three of 'em.
1. (You heard this already), there's a couple at my church who doesn't have family in Georgia, so my parents invited them over for Christmas. Turns out they used to live in your apartment complex and go to St. Monica's, they knew your pastor and had been to Our Lady of Mount Carmel last time they were in Indy.
2. While on a class trip to Sweden, we were hanging out at the local student nations (frat house plus bar plus dance club), when one of my classmates saw a girl he had gone to higschool with... in freaking Sweden.
3. Driving into my neighborhood last year over Christmas break (in Georgia), I saw a college-age guy walking a dog. As I drove past I thought... wait, that was Steve. He lived down the hall from me freshman year, but I never really saw him much after that, and didn't know his parents had moved to the street next to where my parents live.
whenever I see an IU plate... even when I realize I am in Bloomington.. just all feels so much smaller :)
I grew up in Michigan where I went to school with a girl in my class for a few years. When we were in seventh grade we learned that our birthdays were on the same day. After chatting we learned we were both born in another state - Missouri. To make a long story short:
We were both born in the same hospital on the same day and both our fathers were for General Motors in the same city. Both our dads were transferred to Flint, MI when we were young, and both our families moved to the same city and we ended up going to school together and met 10 years later. :)
